Protecting Nature, for People Today and Future Generations
May 10, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Melissa Moran, director of Community Programs at the Indiana field office of The Nature Conservancy will be the guest speaker at Kokomo Area Creation Care meeting on Thursday, May 10th at Christ Lutheran Church at 3401 S. Dixon Road at 7 pm. She will inform us about the wide range of programs The Nature Conservancy is involved with in Indiana and throughout the world.
The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends. They are a leader in advancing conservation around the world since their founding in 1951. Their vision is a world where the diversity of life thrives, and people act to conserve nature for its own sake and its ability to fulfill our needs and enrich our lives. They have a diverse staff including more than 600 scientists, all of whom impact conservation in 72 countries. They have the help of many partners, from individuals and governments to local nonprofits and corporations.
The meeting is free and open to people from all faith communities as well as interested individuals who want to learn more about this program. Kokomo Area Creation Care is an affiliate of Hoosier Interfaith Power and Light. Our mission is to explore ways to be better stewards of the earth. Fellowship and snacks may be enjoyed at 6:45 pm.
