Environmentally friendly programs the 434th Air Refueling Wing at Grissom Air Force Base
January 10, 2019 @ 6:45 pm - 8:30 pm

Corey Walters, 434th Civil Engineer Squadron environmental flight chief and biological scientist at Grissom Air Force Base, will be the guest speaker at Kokomo Creation Care meeting on Thursday, January 10th, at Christ Lutheran Church at 3401 S. Dixon Rd. at 7pm. He will be talking about the many “environmentally friendly” programs the 434th Air Refueling Wing has adopted or designed for the base.
When it comes to innovation and efficiency, Grissom is literally crushing it in the recycling department. The 434th Air Refueling Wing recently added two new compactors to the recycling center that are not only going to save time and space, but also reduce man-hours required to run the recycling program. Mr. Walters will be explaining why the project was needed, how it works and how it is able to operate without using taxpayer dollars appropriated by Congress.
The meeting is free and open to people of all faith communities as well as interested individuals who want to know more about the program. Kokomo Area Creation Care is an affiliate of Hoosier Power and Light. We explore programs, projects and activities that help us be aware of ways we can become better stewards of the earth. Fellowship and snacks may be enjoyed at 6:45 pm. For questions or more information please contact Carol Chen at carol.4c@gmail.com.
